Bug Report: Serum 2 causes unintended drag-selection on track's empty area

Setup:

  • Ableton Live 12.4.2 (Mac)
  • Serum 2 (latest version)
  • Trackpad input (MacBook Pro)

Issue:
When the Serum 2 plugin window has lost focus (e.g. after clicking elsewhere), clicking on or interacting with Serum 2 to bring it back into focus causes an empty area of the same track in the Arrangement View to be automatically drag-selected. This happens even though the cursor never moves near that empty area. I have not observed this behavior with any other VST/AU instrument or effect, only with Serum 2.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Load Serum 2 on a track in Ableton Live
  2. Click elsewhere so the Serum 2 window loses focus
  3. Click on or adjust a control in Serum 2 to bring it back into focus
  4. An empty region of that track in the Arrangement View becomes drag-selected, without the cursor having moved there

This does not occur with other plugins, only Serum 2.
