So, maybe i'm stupid, but i've set it up exactly as the manual says to, and it's worked maybe once out of 10 times of trying. setting 'all ins' to the vst, all channels to point to it as well, and then click on 'In' all on the instrument's row. Yet, not a peep out of it.
Anything anyone can think that I'm doing wrong? Setup, windows 8, using the keyboard, not a midi instrument to trigger it, if that makes any difference whatsoever.

You need to load a chord preset, you can look at the GUI and you should see the piano keyboard reacting to your notes coming in (red blip moving to the note that you sent to Cthulhu). You should also see the green piano keys illuminate, assuming the Chord Preset you loaded has a chord on that given MIDI note. You should also hear Cthulhu's test tone.
Keep in mind:
the computer keyboard has different octaves it can trigger (Z and X keys alter this in Ableton Live) and you may be out-of-range for the given chord preset.

OK, got somewhere now - seeing the red dots, and for some reason pressed the 'wtf' button, and a few blue dots appeared above some keys. when I click the keys related to these dots, it works! but only those keys.
…any ideas? TIA :)
sounds like it is working correct, as I mentioned, you need to load a chord preset
