Cthulhu & Komplete

Maschine does not yes support MIDI out from VST Plugins as far as I am aware. It would be possible to run Cthulhu and a destination instrument inside a subhost plug-in such as BlueCat Patchwork, however that is a workaround and the ideal would be for NI to support MIDI out from VST instruments.

Komplete is a suite of instruments which can be used in conjunction with Cthulhu, as can any VST instrument.

well i have maschine and komplete…. i think they came together? and i upgraded to komplete 11…. so i WOULD be able to fuly use Cthulhu? (im sorry I'm just starting to get the hang of this program and i want to use it to its full potential!)

To use Cthulhu to it's fullest you would want a DAW which supports MIDI out from plug-in instruments, which is most of them, but not Maschine. (Ableton Live, ProTools, Logic, Bitwig, Studio One, Cubase, Reaper, Sonar and others all support MIDI out from plug-in instruments).

would I be able to use this though? I'd rather not buy something else since I spent so much money on Maschine and komplete already… can i not use this in kontakt?

There is a demo for evaluation.
Kontakt does not host VST plugins.
Maschine does not support MIDI out from VST plug-ins.

I would recommend to try the demo, but I would also recommend a host which supports MIDI out for the full abilities.
