Cthulhu needs its own separate midi track?

Hi I tried out the demo and expected to be able to drop Cthulhu in my chain before my vst synth the same way I drop Ableton's arpeggiator before my synth in my instrument rack. Is this not possible? Is Cthulhu seen as an instrument and not a MIDI effect? Will I have to have a whole separate track for Cthulhu to trigger another track with my synth the way I saw on a demo video?

Live only allows one VST instrument on a track. You need to use two tracks and set Cthulhu [track, and device] in the input rectangles on the destination track.
