Cthulhu second input not available

when trying to set up Cthulhu in Ableton, on MIDI 1, the first dropdown menu has Cthulhu selectable. But the second drop down menu with the effect does not have it. I only see pre- and post efx.

would someone be able to provide some insight on this? I had searched online and could not find anything

Cthulhu will play with its own built in saw, but will not send to Midi 1 because of the missing input.

You need to use the VST version, not the AU version.  The AU is for Logic 9 and warns you that you should not be using it.   You may need to enable VST Plugins in Live prefs->File/Folder.

Thank you Steve! I had loaded the AU and not the VST,

once I loaded the VST all the features became available.
