Hiya guys,

Having trouble with getting this running.

I saved the nerve template onto the lemur, ran Nerve lemur beta in ableton and I tried each Deamon midi/osc input…. no luck

Can't get it to play through, any help (please wizard steve) ??

Thanks in advance!

HI supersink,

This forum is for general questions - next time post in the Nerve registered users' forum, just to keep things orderly :)

If you use the search feature on the forums page you will find a couple other threads on the subject.
The JazzDeamon is not needed as the communication LemurNerve is OSC.

I would:

1) click Nerve logo and make sure it says "Lemur Enabled build"
2) make sure you have edited the Nerve.cfg file to reflect the IP address of the Lemur (e.g. {192.168.0.6} in the curly braces near the top of the Nerve.cfg file OSX: Make sure the Nerve.cfg file is the one stored in ~/Library/Preferences/Nerve.cfg (your user directory) as version 1.0 Nerve referenced the global folder (mac HD/library/preferences) but now with 1.01 it is stored in your user prefs folder.
3) Using my template you want to set OSC Target port 3 (4th target) to 8005 on the Lemur OSC page.

Hope this helps!

Hi Steve,

Sorry about that, I did realise afterwards. Apologies.

It worked so far as the lemur receiving transport and pad data, however no midi in.. (trig mode is on)..

Sorry I am a spanner with this thing sometimes, although I try do my best!

Cheers

Alex

I assume by MIDI In you mean that Nerve is not recieving data (OSC) from the Lemur ?

…also make sure the IP address listed there matches your computers IP address.

Yes exactly, sorry.

Ive checked that port 3 (4) is matched to my ip and its on 8005. Anything else it could be? Its obviously receiving yet not sending…

Thanks again in advance

Try creating a network configuration (if you are on OSX) that has WiFi or other network adapters disabled.

Let me know your OS version, and Lemur OS version, and I can verify everything (still) works for me when I'm back home in Los Angeles next week.

All fixed now steve!! It was an ip issue afterall!

cheers

Is there version for Lemur iPad? Is OSC a requirement for this to work properly…? I currently work with Cubase only. Looks definitely really interesting!

Yes - the Lemur iPad has a 'stretcher app' which allows you to stretch any Lemur template up to the iPad native resolution (as the iPad has more pixels).

Some things change cosmetically (such as font sizes). But it is pretty much the same, in fact the screenshots I included are in fact from the iPad.

Just got lemur for my ipad and i am stoked! I can play nerve and it gets the ipad going but i dont have communication the other direction. I assume i am not setting osc up correct. Do i need to use any other software besides just ipad lemur and nerve?

make sure you have edited the Nerve101.cfg file to reflect the IP address of the Lemur (e.g. {192.168.0.6} in the curly braces near the top of the Nerve.cfg file OSX: Make sure the Nerve101.cfg file is the one stored in ~/Library/Preferences/Nerve.cfg (your user directory) as version 1.0 Nerve referenced the global folder (mac HD/library/preferences) but now with 1.01 it is stored in your user prefs folder.
