LFO Polarity?

Started by Razzia

Hey steve & everyone else
I notice when I drag an LFO to a mod destination sometimes I get unipolar modulation and sometimes bipolar. Moreover, if I add and remove the same LFO to the same destination at the same value several times, I can get different results. There must be some way to predict and control if you're going to assign bipolar modulation without going to the mod matrix. What am I missing?

edit: damn I posted in the wrong forum again. Oh well… the post is meant to refer to Serum of course.

A knob at exactly 50% will be bipolar assigned (e.g. pan knob) otherwise unipolar is assigned.  you can easily toggle (without going to matrix) with shift-alt-click.

I could swear I get bipolar modulation more often than just when I assign it to a knob at 50%, but there was like a week between me testing this and posting this thread and memory is unreliable so… grain of salt and all.
Anyhow, the shift+alt+click is exactly what I was looking for. I knew you'd have added something like this. Thanks!
