It seem that you have emailed Xfer support many times with the same message, but have not replied to any of our attempts to help you.
Your screenshot shows that a Windows error occurred when Serum 2 tried to open your web browser as part of the activation process:
This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page.
There are two likely causes and solutions for this issue:
1. Broken Browser Associations
Perhaps you uninstalled a browser (like Chrome or Firefox) but the Windows Registry still thinks it’s the default handler, so ShellExecute will try to launch a file that no longer exists.
The Fix: Go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps and ensure that you have a valid web browser set for https links.
2. Security Software Interference
Some aggressive "Anti-Executable" or "Endpoint Protection" software blocks applications from spawning child processes (like a browser). If the DAW app isn't "trusted," the security suite might kill the ShellExecute request before it even reaches the browser.
The Fix: Temporarily disable your security software whilst activating Serum 2.
Another solution is to perform an Offline activation:
- Disconnect from the Internet (e.g. turn off WiFi or unplug your ethernet cable).
- Open Serum 2 and copy the presented Machine ID.
- Reconnect to the Internet.
- Go to https://xferrecords.com/my_account, choose the offline authorization option, and enter your Machine ID.
- Download the license and provide it to Serum 2.
