Nerve discount

Started by makro

Hi,

i am a user of fxpensive's "Geist", considering a future purchase of Nerve because its interface is much simpler and seems to lead to quicker results when knitting beats, as well as it would expand my sample library by quite a bit.

I've just a few questions:

  1. Can Nerve cover more than 16 beats/ticks/clocks?
  2. Does it have multiple outputs?
  3. Will there be a future discount?

It's not the price, i can save money and it's definitely worth it, but i'd bite my arse if i purchase Nerve and there's a discount offer a few weeks later…
I don't have to tell you guys about marketing, but a discount offer will attract more buyers. Maybe consider some kind of reward discount, if some user already purchased another Xfer plugin or is buying multiple products at once? Just my two cents with a lil twinkle…

Thanks!

Hi Makro,
Thanks for the interest in Nerve.

  1. Nerve can (internally) go up to 128 steps by using the Chain feature, which can operate simultaneously across all pads, or not, at your choosing (Global switch).   I found myself not wanting more than 16 steps in a pattern sequencer visually since musically the bar line was commonly the place things repeated at and I found myself (in other 32-step drum sequencers) tediously copying bar 1 to 2 "manually", which is easily achievable in Nerve in a flash (e.g. alt-drag button labelled '1' to 2).

  2. Yes, now it has 32 (16 pairs, once for each pad / assignable how you want from within Nerve)

  3.  I've never discounted Nerve in years, I try to avoid sales because I don't want people, well, biting their own arses.   Early adopters should be rewarded, not punished, which is why I make updates free for life.   With that said, it will probably be discounted *someday*, but I don't have any plans as of now and it's unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Thanks for the fast answering, Steve.
All fine with that early adopters bonus, from which i already got my benefit when buying Serum. So I'll start saving, glad to support great work this way.

I just love your  honesty Steve!  You are a really great man  in my eyes, i don't want to give all the reasons here but you're always(!) so polite, your answers are always intelligent and thought through( i've seen  quite a lot of interviews and tutorials with You in it:) ).  And you have teached me sooo much, just  to mention a few, and of course ,must mention:  you're a very talented composer/producer in my opinion.

Just wanted to send You some respect from oslo /norway.
Sincerely
