Serum Macro automation not working in Logic X

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, when I activate the 'Touch' automation feature in Logic and adjust the macro settings of a Serum MIDI track (to open filter, add efx in Serum, etc) - then I change the 'Touch' to 'Read' - it doesn't work. Automation works otherwise in Logic everywhere besides in Serum.

I'm not sure where your problem arises, but I can say it works fine here in logic 10.6.1 with Serum 1.334.

I would suggest a new project as a test.
If you show the automation on the track ('a') you should be able to watch automation record.
