Using OTT for Parallel Compression, but having phase issues. Why?

Started by Ryland

If I use OTT as my compressor for parallel compression, I get a really bad phase.

My friend is doing the same thing but in Pro Tools X. He's sending tracks to two identical busses, both with OTT on, but one with the depth all the way down(note that when he bypasses one INSTEAD of turning the depth all the way down, he gets the same depth issue). This workaround works for him but theres no way to simulate this in Logic that I can tell.

I'm running Logic Pro X, OSX 10.11.16 and a Motu 8 Pre Audio Interface.

The phase is due to the phase rotation of the crossovers (of course, it is only an issue when combined with your dry signal separately)
You can create two aux's in Logic with the same bus input for parallel processing.

Ahh, now I see. I was running OTT dry on one aux and wet on the other.
Thanks Steve!
