Why Serum?

I know this section is there already but i don't know if buying serum as a noob is worth it at all. I know you can make good sounds with stock plugins but not as good so. What is your opinion?

If you're really tinkering for fun as a hobby and don't mind inferior process and results, then freeware and the like certainly can suffice. As far as being a Noob goes, I think Serum is a good way (as good as any) to learn about synthesis + start making your own sounds, so I personally think Serum is a great "starter synth" as well as enough depth to be something you're unlikely to outgrow.

I'm a firm believer in the adage "start as you mean to go on" ;). So, it's more than okay to start out with freeware, but if you're somewhat serious in what you're about to do, it's still a very good idea to immediately incorporate into your setup a centerpiece that you know you will be using also on an advanced level. You will develop a certain reflex-like way of interacting with something you have used for a long, long time. If you start out on something you know you aren't going to swap out later, you maximise that familiarity and the way you gel with your tools from the get go.

its a very complete synth and one of the best soundings. If you master serum, you can use nearly any other synth. you can do every sound with it.
