PNG images can't be imported into wavetables

Hi.

I purchased serum through the renting scheme with splice yesterday.
But trying to import PNG images into wavetables, Serum didn't load it and the error message "File error" appeared.

What should I do to use PNG as wavetable?

It is most likely either the file path or filename, or a permissions issue.   Can you paste here the exact path to the file, and your DAW and OS? 

Having transferred images from　"Pictures" to "C:" , The issue  has been solved !

I am experiencing the same issue.
I am dragging a .png from my :C drive and it is eternally loading in oscillator A.
Version is 2.5.88. 
Any fixes for this?

Check the path, maybe try another location and/or other file and try to narrow down the issue.

So I have watched videos of others successfully uploading png files and I noticed two things that my Serum isn't doing.  1) Mine is not coming up with PLM to amplitude notice on oscillator A.  It just has the satndard wavetable import thing.  2) When I drop down the wavetable selection menu and hover over user, nothing comes up - not sure if that is relevant.  
It seems like Serum is not recognizing that it is a .png (it 100% is .png)
I have tried multiple paths, and multiple files.  

What "build" do you see on the Global tab?
